The Civil War Ballad

I rode the storm the best I can

I read the stars to avoid the land

I sank the ships like no one else can

I stormed the waves like a broken woman

I gave them guns

and I gave them work with their hands

I sent the children to school

and some to do hard labor with te land

I gave everyone enough money

to enjoy their life

and kept the rich in line by taxing them right…

the fields were full of flowers, grain, and  corn

No imports needed because they were needed no more

Our own country lied upon our own backs

we knew to go the other way

would leave no one intact

So we set out to change the things that were wrong

we formed new ideologies and kept the militarily strong….

then slowly everyone managed to get a long

And all the struggles became as simplified

once everyone united as one.
