Don’t Stomp On the Flowers

Don’t stomp on the flowers
And try to avoid the rain
Feel that crap within your bones
And always stay true to your name
Don’t let anyone tell you
you’re full blown insane…
Don’t let anyone tell you..
You’re life got away….
They’re just jealous
openly zealous
full of a spell
that is a curse
and not worth
the pain that it causes….
And they ought to…
admire your courage
but instead,
they frown…
wear a false crown…
acting like they didn’t slay a dozen
in the first round….
sinisterly sweet..
but unable to complete….
any connection with anybody…

And I laugh at the aftermath
of the frowns you leave behind
and I laugh at the aftermath
of all those you lined…
up and acted as if they should praise you…
save you
from all your lies,
but surprise
the aftermath ends in a blood bath…
and you cannot last
in all that loneliness like you thought…

Don’t stomp on the flowers
And try to avoid the sun
Don’t come around here acting like you are born of the one
And only son…
of a high being…
because I could mop you across the ceiling
Have your fingernails peeling the paint
as you start to believe…
I mean business…
And you can’t miss this..
I’m the epitome of harmless…
focused sharpness…
I ought to prosper on this
intellectual motivation….
self proclamation of no longer
giving a sh*t….

And I laugh at the aftermath
of the frowns you leave behind
and I laugh at the aftermath
of all those you lined…
up and acted as if they should praise you…
save you
from all your lies,
but surprise
the aftermath ends in a blood bath…
and you cannot last
in all that loneliness like you thought…
