I Can Ascend

I can’t breathe….

It feels all my empathy

was sucked out of me

And I try to escape thee

But your kind always comes up at me

Just won’t ever let me be

Then I look

And you’re claiming all the sympathy

When you started the lame game

So go play ahead of me

If you think that’s the right way to make it

to the finish line

That’s fine

I like to keep to mine..

I mean, my own philosophies

Like Socrates

Like the Kennedys

Archimedes

Mentally fight like Achilles

Defend all those who tried to be

Different…Just like me

Yeah, I like to keep to mine,

I mean, my mind..

Cuz in time I notice

Some of you people lead blind

And I think you need to spend some time

With yourselves…

Take a hard look at your reflection

Put the unnecessary ego on the shelf…

Pretend your game won’t suddenly end

Keep saying my name

So I can ascend..

Keep playing your game

And acting up over and over again..

Now you look like a child…

Sorry my mind you could not bend.

I can’t breathe

I feel like all the sympathy

Always goes to the wrong person

With their mind some kind of lease

just trying to keep the peace

Sing the sang tune…

That eventually has them lookin’ like sheep

When all the wolves leave the room…

And the balance is gone way too soon…

Cuz’ the opposition is never invited…

Their personality usually doesn’t bring excitement

Always about the physiology

Never the psychology

Or just the psychology

And never the physiology…

Can’t help but notice

No one seems to want both

So I hibernate, try to remain close..

to my own heart…

And my own head

Keep my mind above

all the lead

Beginning to surround it…

Pretend your game won’t suddenly end

Keep saying my name

So I can ascend..

Keep playing your game

And acting up over and over again..

Now you look like a child…

Sorry my mind you could not bend.
